As long
as I can remember and we have been recording in the history books,
mankind has longed to soar above the Earth, like eagles and Angels alike,
without restraint or confinement to Earth's natural boundaries. Although
flight in itself is not usually a personal journey for most who fly, those
who fly powered paragliders have a very personal view and experience from
the very first time they leave the ground on their first training
flight,and they are usually by themsleves. It is you,GOD, the wind, and
the birds as you fly along into the peace and tranquility only this form
of flight can offer. There is nothing like it. Even professional aviation
enthusiasts such as myself have bowed our heads, left our big aircraft
behind,and taken this very personal journey into the sky. It is something
I will always remember and want to share with all those who like myself as
a little boy,"just had to fly".
Powered paragliding
allows normal everyday people to enter the realm above us here on the
ground with minimal training and cost compared to other aspects of
aviation. It allows us to fly from tiny fields in which we need scarcely
40 to 60 feet of smooth ground to lift off. At the end of the day we
merely pack up our aircraft into our minivan or small truck and head for
home. No airport or hangar space renting required.
Due to
ppg's simplicity and safety record, it is fast becoming America's fastest
growing sport. The recent shortage of instructors is what has prompted me
to open a school where we can all go to learn from each other and build an
aviation/paragliding family. I wish you all good luck in your venture of
